Day 1: Arrival in Florianópolis and transfer to your hotel located downtown.
Day 2: Historical City tour (centro historic) of the east and north of the island, starting with a visit to the Metropolitan Cathedral “Nossa Senhora do Desterro”, built in 1753, which is currently undergoing renovation but still open for visitation. The public Market, constructed in neo-classical style, holds diverse spots serving typical dishes of the local gastronomy with a strong Portuguese influence. Centenary Fig tree of the XV de Novembro square, Palácio Cruz and Souza -Former Government Palace and today the Museum Catarinense; Alfândega Square, built in 1875/76; local handcraft market on the Morro da Cruz, with a panoramic view of the city; Hercílio Luz Bridge, opened in 1926, totally in iron and one of the biggest ones in the world in its category (currently closed for renovation).
Visit to the Conceição Lagoon, beaches: Barra da Lagoa, Joaquina and Praia Mole, which are the most frequented in summer. Lagoa da Conceição Lookout point, where one can enjoy a beautiful view of the region. The Joaquina beach is known as the "Surfers’s beach". The tour at the Island's North start to visiting the following beaches: Ingleses, Canasvieiras, which is one of the most urbanized of the Island and highly populated by the Argentineans during the high season, Jurere Beach and Jurere Internacional.
Day 3: South of the Island
Head to the east cost of the Santa Catarina Island which is the home of Morro Das PEedras Beach. From its lookout point, a long and wide beach is seen, with forceful waves it can be dangerous for swimmingly leisurely, but the swells prove great for surfers. The next beach is the Armacao Beach, one of the most beautiful on the Island. With a long strip of fine and white sand, its waters are clean, but very cold. Although it is a big fishing center, it also became a resort, with good infrastructure to assist the flow of tourists that grows year after year. There is also one of the oldest chapels of Santa Catarina. Going towards the South of the Island, one gets to the most traditional fishing beach of the whole State, Pantano do Sul. Many boats occupy almost the entire beach, where the waves crash smoothly over a long strip of sand. Today, the beach has become a popular tourist haunt, with reasonable infrastructure and good restaurants specialized in seafood. The last stop of the circuit is the Ribeirao da Ilha Beach. Besides having been the first European community of the Santa Catarina Island, the beach is a cultural and historic benchmark. The traces of the Azores colonization in the XVIII century were preserved in the local architecture.
Day 4: Full day at Balneario Camboriu including tour by cablecar.
A visit that offers amazing scenery and includes a tour by cablecar linking the Central Beach and Laranjeiras Beach offering a privileged panoramic view of the city, the bay, the river and the Atlantic rainforest. Between the stop and the sea, the visitor passes through a 100-meter boulevard, where there are shops of handicrafts, beach articles and food kiosks. On the shore, there is a complete structure of bars and restaurants. There, we recommend you try the seafood menu, typical cuisine of the region, or rent kayaks at Laranjeiras beach.
