From the Moreno Glacier to Mount Fitzroy, this tour encompasses some of the greatest sites in the region. A mixture of trekking and sightseeing this is recommended for those with average fitness and above!
Day 1: El Calafate - El ChaltenArrival in El Calafate. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the bus terminal in Calafate to catch the bus across the the rugged landscape toward Chalten. On arrival you will be met and taken to your hotel.
Overnight El Chalten.
Day 2: Trekking to Pleigue Tumbado (1490m)
This simple trek is a good leg warmer and offers the best general view of the region. From Pleigue Tumbado we can see the Paso del Viento, the Continental Ice Field and Tore Laguna, and of course all the granite massifs that dominate the area. Overnight El Chalten.
Day 3: Trekking to Lago de los Tres
Today starts with a beautiful 18 kilometre drive up the valley to Hosteria Pilar, from where we trek through sub-Antarctic forest and pass the small glacier lake named Piedras Blancas. From here the route crosses the Rio Blanco before you begin the toughest part of your trek - a fifty minute climb that weaves its way up a 45º slope. From the top of the climb you can see glacial Laguna de Los Tres with one of Patagonia's most majestic panoramic vistas. We then return to Chalten on foot via a different route.

Day 4: Navigation and Ice Trekking on the Viedma Glaciar
The bus picks you up in the morning and takes you the short distance to the jetty on Lake Viedma. Total navegation time is around 2.5 hours, we will "sail" through Lago Viedma to the rocky promontory near the glacier. At this point, we put on the crampons and walking on the one of the largest glaciers of “Los Glaciares National Park” visiting the ice caverns. Overnight El Chalten.
Today we visit the glacial Laguna Torre for views of the Grande Glacier. We then descend through dense southern beech forests toward the valley of the De las Vueltas River and El Chalten. In the late afternoon we return by bus to El Calafate. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Calafate for overnight.
Day 6: Moreno Glacier
Today we drive into Parque Nacional Los Glaciares for views of the stunning Moreno Glacier. This huge glacier is more than 3 miles wide and over 20 stories high - a true highlight of Patagonia. Includes entrance to the park.

Day 7: El Calafate - Out
Transfer to El Calafate airport to continue your travels.
